We are pioneers in the Contact Lens field, having fitted many thousands of individuals in Canada since 1959, over a quarter of whom need to wear contact lenses as an aid to complex optical and/or pathological problems - we specialize in this area of fitting. We teach, write articles for ophthalmic journals, lecture, set examinations and courses, and have been instrumental in continuous education in the contact lens field Canada wide.

Added to this, we manufacture all our own hard and gas-permeable contact lenses, ensuring a constant standard inside the specifications set by the British and North American Standards Associations, thus offering the ultimate in professionalism, expertise, service and quality.

Our Founder
The Sanger Contact Lens Centre was founded in Canada in 1959 by the late Frederick J. Sanger. He was a recognized authority in his field, being on the Staff of the Toronto Western Hospital as a Contact Lens Consultant, and for many years aiding in research into corneal implants at the Banting Institute. He was Secretary of the Contact Lens Examining Committee and coordinator of the Contact Lens Certification for opticians in the province of Ontario. He lectured throughout North America for fifteen years and was the founder and President of the Ontario Contact Lens Association.

Today
We are pleased to say we are still a family business and we still manufacture our own Gas Permeable Lenses, lecture, teach, examine and write articles on contact lenses.
